DEG provides its know how to enterprises in all sectors of the economy. We pay particular attention to agribusiness, to infrastructure and processing industries as well as the financial sector.
We have been assisting successful projects here for many years and have gained detailed experience. We will continue to develop this sector expertise in future and apply it to support private investment projects with a significant developmental impact.
DEG is only active in industries and under conditions which comply with its developmental goals. In certain cases, which are summarised in our exclusion list, financing by DEG is excluded from the outset. The list is an integral part of the environmental and social standards adjusted on the basis of the "EDFI Principles for Responsible Financing", which apply within the scope of the European Development Finance Institutions for jointly financed projects.
